A private idyll

Radford Castle offers private outdoor spaces where guests can dine, bathe, explore, or just chill. There’s an outdoor shower, wood-fired hot tub, rooftop garden, waterside garden, and exclusive access to a neighbouring 12-acre secret garden.

Delight in the details

We’ve packed in a host of memorable features. We made the front door from timbers from Winston Churchill’s navy ship. There is a writing desk that belonged to Willian Gilbert of Gilbert and Sullivan. There is a roll-top bath, walk-in shower, stone walls, coffered ceilings, and more…

Stay in your own castle by the water’s edge.

Live your own fairytale at Radford Castle. This lovingly restored folly hovers over the meeting point of two lakes in a serene setting. Despite being only ten minutes from the historic Barbican in Plymouth, the castle is surrounded by nature in the middle of three Country Wildlife Sites and sits directly on the South West Coast Path.

Enjoy luxuriant furnishings and loads of curious features, plus waterside views, access to a 12-acre private secret garden, rooftop and al fresco dining, and an outdoor shower and hot tub.
